January 2004 – The Romanian Union of Beer Industry (PIBR) dissolves.
December 2004 – The Romanian Breweries' Association (BR) was set up upon the initiative of the most important beer producers on the Romanian market, Heineken Romania, Bergenbier S.A., United Romanian Breweries Bereprod and Ursus Breweries. The members of the Romanian Breweries' Association represent over 80% of the beer market in Romania.
January 2009 – The "Brewers of Romania" Association has a new member, Romaqua Group.
Constanta, August 4th 2010. Moderate consumption of beer, with and without alcohol, is a way to rehydrate after physical exercise. Its composition and sensorial characteristics recommend beer as a proper beverage to rebuild the hydromineral losses occurring by transpiration, thus facilitating recovery after physical exercise, especially when the temperature is high. This is the conclusion of a study conducted jointly by Spanish researchers from the Medicine School of the Granada University and those from the Superior Council for Scientific Research in Madrid.
