The subsidiary of StarBev Group in Romania is one of the most active
beer producers on the Romanian market, holding the 3rd position in
the beer industry in 2008 (according to MEMRB). The company
currently owns two breweries, in Ploiesti and Blaj and has over 730
employees.
Brands:
The company's portfolio includes brands in all market segments. Apart
from Stella Artois, Beck's, Bergenbier, Löwenbräu and Noroc, brewed in
Romania, the company imports Belgian specialties Leffe and
Hoegaarden.
Bergenbier is a unique beer both in taste and its emotional attributes.
In 15 years, Bergenbier managed to stand out as a quality beer which
one drinks with friends, "Friends know why" is one of the most popular
slogans on the Romanian market, frequently used in informal
get-togethers.
Stella Artois is the first super-premium beer produced in Romania,
present on the local market since 1997. Stella Artois it is a reference
point for those who know to enjoy the unique experience of a quality
beer.
Beck's is Germany's number 1 export beer present in more than 100
markets worldwide. Produced strictly according to the German of beer
purity law, Beck's guarantees the quality of a 100% natural product,
with no compromise.
In 2008, Romania became the 4th country in the world to launch Becks'
Green Lemon, a unique combination of premium beer with a refreshing
lemon taste.
Romania and Croatia were the first countries in Europe being allowed
to produce Löwenbräu locally.
Noroc, named after a traditional Romanian cheer ("hai Noroc!"), is the
popular beer to be drunk with friends and family.
Present in over 60 countries, Leffe the extraordinary, just perfect,
bringing people together to share and savor special moments.
Consuming Hoegaarden is totally different from the rest of the beer
consumption experiences, or alcohol in general, in terms of its refreshing
taste. Hoegaarden is the authentic Belgian wheat, unfiltered beer.
CSR involvement:
The company pays great attention to environmental protection, investing
over the years in "environmental friendly" technologies in order to
reduce water, energy and to limit the amount of waste.
In 2006, Bergenbier initiated the first program for the selective
collection of packaging - plastic, glass, paper - in Blaj.
In 2008, the company launched "Respect18" project, the first CSR
campaign which fights against selling alcoholic beverages to minors,
by making the commercial act more responsible; it was the first
campaign realized by a private company in Romania.
In 2009, the company was one of the partners of "Copacul Magnific",
project. Since 2010, the company began the collaboration with "Viitorplus",
NGO that has as main priority to stimulate and to contribute at
putting in practice the concept of sustainable development at
individual and community level.

was established in 1998 as Brau Union. In March 2007, the company
changed its name into Heineken Romania, which also marked the
natural adoption of the Heineken culture and values.

Romaqua Group Borsec is a Romanian company with 100% private capital, founded in 1999. The overall investments exceeds 190 million euro, mainly consisting of the most updated technologies and equipments in order to assure a final product of the highest quality.
Its concern for a high quality standard has made possible for Romaqua to be the first bottling Romanian company to be granted the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Other two management systems implemented are the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and IFS (International Food Standard), as it concerns the guarantee of the food products' security from a sanitary and hygienic point of view.
Our products are mainly addressed to the Romanian market.
Therefore, Romaqua Group has a well trained national distribution network. Romaqua's technology for the production of PET packaging and bottling is made up of 21 complete lines, bringing the total bottling capacity up to over a billion liters per year. Its undisputed leader position on the Romanian mineral water market is sustained by the largest bottling capacity of natural mineral water in PET and glass bottles.

In May 2008, Romaqua Group entered the beer market, launching the brand Albacher, a Premium Pils, blonde beer, exclusively produced by natural ingredients, having an OxyProof packaging, a technological innovation which includes the cap and the PET material and guarantees the product's freshness for a longer time. Albacher can has an aluminum lid which do not allow dust and bacteria to lay on the can.
Investments for sustainable development
Since the beginning, the active energy management represented a priority. As follows, constant investments in updated technologies were made which allowed meaningful quantities of water and energy to be restored, minimizing the negative impact on the environment. The beer plant in Sebes is equipped with the highest technology, internationally available in 2008, high values being achieved in termsof water, CO2 and energy savings. The total amount of CO2 released during beer fermentation process is restored and used again in bottling and filtration. We refer to an amount of 2,000 tonnes of CO2 per year related to a beer production of 1,000,000 hectoliters. Kieselguhr (volcanic rock dust) is replaced by Profi filtration systems, filtration by microfilters.

United Romanian Breweries Bereprod is the first brewing company in Eastern Europe which has developed a Greenfield project. Out of respect for our consumers, we set to offer them products of outstanding quality from the very beginning of our activity in Romania. Our company's portfolio includes exclusively international premium brands: Tuborg, Tuborg Strong, Tuborg Christmas Brew, Holsten, Holsten no alcohol, Carlsberg, Skol, Guinness and Kilkenny - imported.
The company entered the Romanian market in 1996 and has invested over 200 million USD to date. Tuborg brewery is the only production facility owned by the company in the country, and one of the most modern breweries from Romania and from Carlsberg Breweries A/S Group. world's largest brewers.
Ursus Breweries with the headquarter in Bucharest owns 4 breweries
in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Buzau and Brasov and employs over 1,700
people.
Ursus Breweries brands are: URSUS (the leader of the premium
