When you go out and have a drink, you’d better not drive on the way back home. Let a friend who drank nothing drive your car or resort to other means of transport to get home safely: a taxi, a bus, or anything else.

As early as 2008, the “Brewers of Romania” Association in partnership with the Romanian Road Police under the General Police Inspectorate set out to educate drivers so as to reduce the number of car crashes by preventing drivers from driving under influence. This year has seen the fourth campaign already. It is organised under the larger reach of the European concept of Designated Driver. Titi Aur, the famous Romanian rally pilot, endorses the campaign. The message he puts across to all drivers in Romania is easy to grasp: Pass the wheel when you drink!
